Mr. Joseph Turek, Managing Partner of MW Supply Chain Services, received a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) in 1979 from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management in 1982. He has been involved in manufacturing his entire career. He holds five patents involving high performance microwave telecommunications circuit board technologies and has been a registered professional engineer and a member of the IPC and IEEE.

Mr. Turek’s career started in 1970 on the manufacturing floor of his parents’ company called West-Tronics. He cut his teeth on engineering design, lean manufacturing and six sigma quality control in bare printed circuit fabrication. By 1980 he was running the company and successfully purchased the assets from his parents in 1988 and renamed the company Poly Circuits. The focus now became Microwave Printed Circuits and five years later he took the company public under the name M-Wave. With the rise in cellular communications, Mr. Turek grew M-Wave to a $100M company and then again sold it in a reverse merger in 2008 spinning off the public shell and creating the private entity M-Wave International. After growing this to $20M, 5 years later in 2014, half the company was spun off to a Swedish multi-national and the remaining half migrated into contract manufacturing in electronic assembly controls. The next 5 years created 4 unique businesses in Restaurant Controls, Electric Guitar Music Products, Over the Counter Hearing Aids and Low-Cost Asian Contract Assembly. Finally, after a career of 50 years in manufacturing, Mr. Turek successfully sold these entities in 2020 to allow him the freedom to continue sharing his decades of experience with other similar business owners.

Along his path, Mr. Turek used his entrepreneurial talents in engineering and management to create companies that span Restaurants, Microbreweries, Microwave Power Amplifiers, Electronic Components, Microwave Printed Circuits, Restaurant Control Circuits, Airline Charter Services, Air Purifiers, Wireless Power Distribution, Music Products, Hearing Aids, Distribution of Cleaning Supplies, Medical Equipment Refurbishment and Domestic and Asian Contract Manufacturing. Buying, growing, and selling businesses are second nature to Mr. Turek and the type of industry has no bounds. Mr. Turek knows that most businesses share similar principles, and he applies those principles to create success and wealth along the way.

Mr. Turek has created a supply chain organization to engage both domestic and Asian manufacturing sources in multiple disciplines ranging from Electronic Components, Metal Fabricated Parts, Cable Harnesses, Transformers, Plastics and Assembly. Consulting services include advanced logistics, stocking programs, lean purchasing, warehouse management, ISO, FDA, and data analysis programing.

His focus includes electronic engineering, manufacturing, supply chain management, foreign sourcing negotiations, strategic planning, and worldwide logistics.

He excels at taking complex technical challenges, breaking them down into controllable parts and solving the problems to allow the implementation of a workable solution. Mr. Turek has an excellent rapport with customers who appreciate his can-do, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial approach to difficult challenges.
